Fawzi Behmann is Director of Strategic Marketing for the Networking Systems Division within Freescale's Networking and Multimedia Group. Fawzi focuses on networking and communications markets, identifying market growth areas, understanding the landscape, dynamics, vendor’s value chain and analyzing market and technological trends. He also focuses on identifying growth potential opportunities and drive differentiated solution offering. Over the past couple of years, Fawzi has been active in building partnership with other suppliers, ODM, OEM, Academia and Service Providers. Being part of Freescale Technical Forum Technical Advisory Committee, Fawzi has been coordinating the Networking technical content for the event. Fawzi was recently appointed as the Chair of the Marketing Committee of Power.org and chairing the networking driver of the System Drivers Working Group at ITRS (International Technology Roadmap for Semiconductors).

Jim has been a leader in the communications industry for over 25 years. During those years he has pioneered many telecom technologies and solutions for Motorola, Intel, and OpenClovis. Currently Jim is serving Enea as Chief Software Standards Officer where he is applying 10 years of standards experience to driving next generation standards based software platforms.
Jim is a member of the Service Availability Forum where he serves as Member Relations Officer. In addition, Jim is currently co chair of the Middleware Work Group within the SCOPE-Alliance, and contributing to the Manageability Task Force within the Communications Platform Trade Alliance.
He has a Masters in Program Management from George Washington University and a BSEE from University of Maryland.

Ian MacMillan

Ian MacMillan is the Senior Product Marketing Manager at Interphase Corporation responsible for the ATCA / AMC Intelligent Packet Processing product lines. Ian has a broad telecommunications background spanning more than 15 years having worked for a number of large telecommunications equipment manufacturers such as Nortel Networks and Mitel Corporation as well as large telecommunications carriers such as SBC (now ATT) and MCI (now Verizon).
Ian has worked with emerging technologies covering all sectors of telecommunications including voice, data, and wireless and holds two US patents including one for IP to PSTN Gateways.
Ian has been a frequent speaker at telecom industry events around the world. He holds a BASc in Systems Design Engineering from the University of Waterloo.

RJ McLaren is the Systems Product Manager for Schroff, a division of Pentair, and has 7 years of experience in the electronic manufacturing industry. RJ has worked as an Application Engineer, Program Manager, Market Manager, and in Project Engineering roles for standards based equipment with current focus on ATCA and MicroTCA products. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and a Masters in Business Administration from NNU.

Dr. Asif Naseem is president and chief operating officer of GoAhead Software, Inc. in Seattle, WA. He is also the president of the Service Availability Forum. He has more than 20 years of experience in the computer and communications industry. Asif is a veteran speaker having presented at national and international events such as ITU Telecom Geneva, GSM World Congress, CTIA, and numerous other events. He has also presented papers at conferences organized by ACM, IEEE, and others, and is a frequent author of papers published in several technical journals and magazines. He has an MS in Electrical Engineering and a PhD in Computer Engineering from Michigan State University.

David Pursley is an Applications Engineer with Kontron. He is responsible for business development of Kontron’s MicroTCA, ATCA, cPCI, and ThinkIO product lines in North America and is based in Pittsburgh, PA. Previously, he held various positions as a Field Applications Engineer, Technical Marketing Engineer and Marketing Manager.
Pursley holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Engineering from Bucknell University and a Master’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.

Brough Turner is the Senior Vice President and CTO of NMS Communications, where he oversees the evolution of product technology and architectures. Mr. Turner has a broad business background, and contributes to business strategy and market development at NMS, but his principal focus remains on engineering and technology. Prior to co-founding NMS, Mr. Turner spent 13 years in engineering and engineering management at Digilab, Inc. and at Block Engineering Inc., both subsidiaries of Bio-Rad Laboratories.

Paul Virgo

Paul Virgo is the director of marketing responsible for MicroTCA and AdvancedMCs for the Embedded Computing business of Emerson Network Power and has led the market development and launch of these technologies since their inception.
Virgo joined Emerson Network Power with the acquisition of Motorola’s Embedded Communications Computing group in January 2008, and brings more than 30 years of embedded architecture experience spanning STD Bus, CompactPCI, VME, and MicroTCA to his current role.
Virgo is a recognized author of numerous articles on embedded computers and backplane standards, and has spoken on these subjects at several conferences over the years. Most recently, he was the keynote speaker at the inaugural MicroTCA 2007 Summit in Baltimore and the ATCA 2007 Summit in Paris, France, focusing on MicroTCA.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical and electronic engineering from Portsmouth University, United Kingdom.
